1500hp Engine Turbo Explosion on a 6.6L Duramax Diesel
Tony Burkhard the owner of Dirty Hooker Diesel, you can safely assume that Tony, is more than likely an experienced sled puller. The veteran sled puller has been pulling with gassers since 1992 and moved into diesel sled pulling about 15 years ago in 2003.
Team Dirty Hooker competes with a regular cab, long bed 2006 Chevrolet 2500HD that has a 6.6L Duramax diesel engine backed by a 1000 Allison automatic transmission. They built the engine and transmission in-house along with the truck itself using Exergy Performance pumps and injectors to help their Duramax outperform the competition.
Tony made sure to make a statement in 2019 and not just because he crashed the internet with his now-famous Dyno run ball of fire. But because Tony’s team and with help from the UCC Competitors they rebuilt the truck overnight and hit the dirt for the sled pull competition. Dirty Hooker dug deep pulling 308.92 and taking 2nd in the sled pulls at the Ultimate Callout Challenge 2019.
2019 6th Place Overall
Drags 1/8 mile – 5.621
Dyno – 1,572.5/1,799.8
Sled – 308.92 feet
