Cummins, Powerstroke and Duramax Performance Harmonic Balancer
A new Fluidampr on your diesel truck will not only protect your engine from destructive torsional vibrations but will also increase TORQUE & HORSEPOWER. High performance diesel engines running chips and programmers are exceptionally vulnerable to torsional vibrations. Save your crank & more by installing a new Fluidampr today.
Fluidampr Performance Diesel dampers offer the best protection against torsional vibrations. Performance tuned or stock, your diesel engine will run more efficiently with a viscous Fluidampr installed.
Torsional Vibrations or harmonics can destroy crankshafts and bearings. These vibrations rob horsepower and torque from the engine. Stock dampers utilize rubber or elastomer to control torsional vibrations. The rubbery material not only breaks down over time, but limits the capabilities for the damper. Fluidampr uses a viscous silicone fluid, internal inertia ring and a laser sealed housing. Our precision machined assembly is the most effective way to control torsional twisting.
Fluidampr has tested on both stock and performance tuned diesel pick-ups. Dyno tests have shown consistent increases in horsepower and torque in the three major manufacturers Ford, Dodge and GM.
Fluidampr Performance Diesel Damper is ideal for competition and owners who depend on their trucks for work and towing. Normal stock damper wear and diesel engine performance upgrades increase the naturally occurring characteristics of harmful crankshaft torsional vibrations. By installing a Fluidampr viscous damper you will reduce wear on the main bearings and timing gear, achieve more accurate valvetrain operation and lower the risk of crank failure. Unlike rubber based dampers, Fluidampr automatically adapts to your modifications, then continuously self-tunes in real time to optimum damping at both peak levels and across a broad changing frequency range. Features precision machined and computer balanced components. Never needs to be tuned or rebuilt.

Duramax 6.6L Valve Adjustment Duramax Diesel Pickup Truck This is one method used to set the valve lash on your duramax engine Valve adjustment should be performed anytime the heads are removed. It's also good practice to adjust valves during service that require valve cover remove. TDC (Top Dead Center) First start with, locating the timing mark on the front engine cover and the harmonic balance. Rotate the crankshaft in order to bring the number 1 cylinder to TDC (Top Dead Center) of the exhaust stroke. This mark should be aligned with the mark on the engine. To adjust the valves, start by loosening all the jam nuts with a 14mm wrench, you will also need a flat screwdriver to make the adjustments. Adjust the valve using a .012" feeler gauge Use your .012” feeler gauge between the rocker arm and the valve bridge as pictured. The correct setting is had when there is slight resistance when moving the feeler gauge. It should not be so tight th
