Toxic Diesel Performance

This 1949 7.3L Powerstroke HOT ROD was made out of three trucks. And then some. Mitchell Allread knows what it takes to win a stop of the Hot Wheels Legends Tour, and it shows in his 1949 Ford F5 build. The attention to detail here is unreal - and inspirational. You know, for our own never-ending builds.

2.8L Cummins Powered Jeep

Kenny Hauk, the owner and founder of Hauk Designs, came from a family of builders. At a young age, his father Ken taught him the value of quality workmanship, stressing the right way, although never the easiest, is always the best way. He instilled in his attention to detail and taught him how to build things that last. Kenny spent his adolescent years in the construction field, working with stone and wood, building custom homes. His transportation to and from work was a Jeep Wrangler, which started his passion for Jeeps and off-roading. Wanting to improve the off-road capability of his Wrangler, Kenny began buying parts for his Jeep. However, he quickly became disappointed with the poor quality and craftsmanship of the aftermarket parts that were available. After several disappointing purchases, he began forming parts himself in his parent's garage. Soon many of his off-roading friends began requesting custom parts for their Jeeps. Then in 2006, Kenny found himself unemployed al...

How to Make Your Truck Run Better

Hailing from the great white north in Canada—Donavan Harris is a two-time UCC competitor that finished in fourth-place overall in both the 2016 and 2017 editions of the Ultimate Callout Challenge. While his overall position was the same each year Harris certainly improved in his sophomore season posting two podium finishes including a third-place finish on the drag strip and a second place finish on the pull track. Harris has been racing diesel trucks since 2009 and has won and placed well at events all over North America including five consecutive years winning the Canadian Pro Street Championships and the 2010 NHRDA World Finals Pro Street class. Team Armor owns the two fastest diesel trucks in Canada and with the help of his small family-like team and their never-say-die attitude behind the truck and the team efforts; he hopes to do better in the 2018 UCC competition. Firepunk Diesel 68RFE Swap to a 48RE Transmission

Everything You Need to do a 68RFE Dodge 6.7L Cummins Transmission Swap. We get a lot of swap related questions, and that is great, we are here to help, but I wanted to make a post to help educate anyone curious about what all parts are needed to swap a 68rfe truck to a 48re. We have a complete Comp 1 transmission + parts and controllers kit listed online for $8737.90 (not installed).  You will still need to source a 48re core transmission and converter if you don't want to be charged a $1500 core charge. They continue to be harder to fin d so we'd rather have a 48re core then your core money. The kit includes the parts and pieces you need to complete a swap and additional options you can add to this kit are aux trans coolers, Comp2 or Comp 3 upgrades, and soon a Anteater Pro option over the Classic.  The driveshafts from the 68rfe are reusable, but the Tcase input shaft needs modified. If its a New Process Tcase (NP271/NP273) we can sell you a replac...

Nitrous Explosion 2000 Horsepower Plus Cummins

Dodge Ram Cranking out Some Serious Horsepower.  Diesel Power is the best power. When it comes to getting extra horsepower out of an engine, nothing beats a diesel power plant. In the video, you’ll see Shawn Baca’s Dodge Ram just annihilate a wheel dyno. Black smoke pours out of the exhaust through the hood of the truck like it is an old school freight train barreling down the dyno. This video was shot at the Edge Products facility in Ogden, Utah in September, 2015 where enthusiasts could bring their vehicles out and see how they stack up against each other. Shawn Baca’s Ram took the crown. Under the hood sits a highly modified 5.9L Cummins with lots of head work, FASS fuel pumps, Industrial Injection triple injector system, and a triple turbo system. Baca’s truck is set up with a full-blown nitrous system. Without the nitrous, the truck pulled 2,113 horsepower on the dyno. When hitting the nitro button, the truck screamed with 2168 horsepower. We’re talking well beyond big rig p...

1966 Chevy Nova Cummins Conversion

Hardway Performance owner Ryan Milliken dropped a few jaws at Lights Out 9 last month when he rolled his wild 1966 Nova to the line with a diesel powerplant under the hood.  Every pass the Nova would build boost while belching huge plumes of black smoke before it would rocket down the track while running in the X275 and Leaf Spring class action. Milliken’s Nova is stuffed with some of the best parts on the market and will be making some noise across the country at both gas and diesel races this season. Milliken’s Nova isn’t a new build; the car was campaigned by Mickey Tessneer and was powered by a ProCharged big-block Chevy. Interestingly. With the Nova, Gone is the bowtie engine and it its place a 6.8L Cummins-based bullet with a solid block. The rotating assembly uses a stock Cummins crank, Diamond pistons, and Wagler billet steel rods. The cylinder head is a custom billet unit from Wagler that has 1.500-inch valves and Trend pushrods, and a Hamilton Cams 207/220 camshaft is t...

Ultimate Callout Challenge - Lavon Miller

UCC Champion Lavon Miller has accomplished his 3rd overall consecutive win in a row. With a reputation for being a legendary UCC competitor, he and his dedicated team of family, friends, and employees from Firepunk Diesel in Plain City, OH hope to achieve the 4th win in 2019. Millers Cummins has dominated the drag racing portion in the past three UCC events. With continued refinements in power, chassis tuning and configuration he is expected to be at the top of the list once again this year. At our first annual UCC competition back in 2016, Miller took 2nd place in sled pulling with only 13 feet to go to take the number one spot. He also took 2nd place on the dyno hitting over 2,200 HP and took 1st in drag racing with a winning time of 8.503 seconds. Miller took the overall win for our first UCC competition and he had more up his sleeve for 2017. In 2017, Miller struggled in the sled pulling competition coming in 6th, but that didn’t stop him from taking the overall win for the secon...

1000hp Plus Daily-Driver 5.9L Cummins

1000hp Plus Daily-Driver 5.9L Cummins Josh Ewing story starts the same as many other diesel owners. He bought a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 because he needed a good all-around vehicle, and what’s better than a truck that gets good fuel economy and has some torque, right? Well, soon his truck had a programmer, intake and exhaust. Next came the turbocharger, some bigger injectors, a lift pump, and a transmission. toxicdieselperformance.com bankspower.com ppediesel.com

Duramax Delete Why? Jared Delekta, of Industrial Injection, set the new NHRDA Super Street World Record MPH and ET. ATS Diesel 6.6L Duramax Pulse Flow Exhaust Manifolds

ATS Diesel 2001-2004 6.6L Duramax Race Performance Exhaust Manifolds. ATS Pulse Flow Exhaust Manifolds for 2001 to 2004 6.6L Duramax offer far less restriction than stock manifolds and up-pipes. Channel areas were increased dramatically resulting in a 26% increase in airflow. Not only will the Pulse Flow manifolds improve performance, they are a leap forward in reliability. Cast out of High Silica Moly, these manifolds have the ability to run through more heat cycles (lifetimes worth) without fatigue, cracking, or warping.  With each exhaust port inlet to the manifold, the main chamber continuously gets bigger, allowing for the added volume, but also to keep thermal velocity up as well. The expansion of the exhaust gasses through the manifold and up-pipe is what drives the turbine side of the turbocharger. The faster you can keep the velocity of the gas, the easier it is to spool the turbocharger. Thermal barriers play a part in this as well. Due to the material having a...
